The battle of the high-end tablets continues.
Samsung's high-end tablet product, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, was released in September. But a new device from Apple Inc. called the iPad Air 3 is expected to challenge the current high-end tablet in the market today.
The latest tablet from the South Korean computer and consumer electronics company comes with a ultra slim body that measures 5.6 millimeters thick. It is also made to be very light, since it only weighs 392 grams despite its plastic back panel and metal frame.
Meanwhile, the iPad Air 3 is also allegedly ultra thin, but not as thin as the Samsung Galaxy S2 because it measures 6.1 mm thick. Yet other rumors claim that it will be thinner than Samsung's tablet because it could measure 5 mm thick.
Under the hood, the tablet from Samsung is equipped with Exynos 7 Octa SoC processor with 32 GB to 64 GB memory options, but can be upgraded to 128 GB using the microSD card slot. Other notable features of the device include that 8-megapixel primary camera and 2.1-MP secondary shooter.
Meanwhile, the upcoming iPad Air 3 from the Cupertino-based tech giant will allegedly come with the latest A9x chipset, 3D display 3112 x 2334 pixel Retina screen and 2K resolution, 3 GB of RAM, as well as a 13-MP rear camera with a flash. However, the biggest difference between the two laptop devices is the built-in operating system since the one from Samsung runs using Android while Apple runs with iOS.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is currently available for as much as $400, while rumors claimed that Apple's upcoming tablet device will be sold for a more expensive price of $619 sometime next year.
Fans are now looking forward to see how iPad Air 3 will fare against Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 next year.
