The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, the alleged newest iteration to the tech firm's top tablet lineup, once again makes it to the headlines. A leaked press render image showing the device made the rounds, giving the tech world a glimpse of what the new premium tablet would look like.

Not too long ago, a press render of the device was leaked and it gave users the impression that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is adapting the sophisticated, well-regarded Samsung Galaxy S6's layout. This is not a shocker, though. Its predecessor resembles the S5's design language.

Photos of bumper cases made for the Galaxy Tab S2 confirm that the tablet will come in 9.7-inch apart from a standard 8-inch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S came in two sizes as well, and it seems the South Korea-based tech giant will continue the established tradition.

In the past few months, media outlets were able to dig up some alleged specs of the still-unofficial Samsung offering. The Tabs, although different in size, are expected to go with a 4:3 aspect ratio for their AMOLED displays, which will render a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution.

Under the hood will be the powerful octa-core Sony Exynos 5 chipset from big.LITTLE family. It will be paired with either 3 GB or 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage. It will have Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will offer a 7-megapixel rear-facing camera, which users can use to record videos at 1080p and, of course, take photos and capture special moments. There is still no word on the battery unit.

Samsung is expected to lift the veil off the highly-anticipated tablet this month. The device has been rumored for months and many await its arrival with the expectation that will be better than, if not as stellar as, its predecessor.
