Roots 06

ROOTS is all about going deeper in discipleship and getting serious in mission and in 2006, the youth and young adult programme is morphing – changing shape and looking different.

In previous years, Shocking and Studio 1 have been important elements of the programme, but now it’s time to step it up a gear; to infuse the old with some new flavours; to spice things up and go further in becoming all that God wants us to be in the future.

The new programme will focus on equipping you for worship, discipleship, mission and social action in your world. Creative worship experiences will combine with various learning streams, sessions and cell activities; all designed to enable you to explore the issues you face, at your stage of life. Afternoon recreation time will be followed by two new evening celebrations, gig nights, debates and discussions and a social action café.

The programme will be facilitated by ALOVE UK (as a partner of ROOTS) and will be run by a team of dedicated young leaders and Salvation Army youth workers from around the UK and Republic of Ireland. It welcomes young people from the UK, Republic of Ireland, mainland Europe and beyond!

ROOTS ’06 is all about stepping things up a gear with God and going deeper. So what are you waiting for? Make sure you book your place and get along to Southport to experience what God is doing with The Salvation Army for a new generation!
