Roman Reigns grateful for WWE chance; praises Bryan, Heyman

Roman Reigns knows that at some point, he will reign supreme. But for the time being, there is work to be done. And judging by how the things have been rolling, he is well on his way.

Reigns would have been the new face of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) had it not been for objections set forth by the WWE Universe. Everything started at WWE Royal Rumble when fans thumbed down the obvious fabricated road to success of the former Shield member.

Disappointing as it may have been, Reigns understands that this is a business and that he has to earn his slot to be one of the future WWE Hall of Famers like his cousin Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

At the moment, he is hooked on a feud with Bray Wyatt which seems to have been helping him a lot. Reigns has showed vast improvement behind the microphone, an area most believe he was lacking in; so it may just be a matter of time before Reigns will vie once more for the WWE belt.

And along the way, Reigns praises certain people for helping him in his journey. Among them is Daniel Bryan, someone many see as one of the reasons why Reigns' climb stopped dead on its track.

But in an interview at SI.com, Reigns revealed that he considers Bryan as one of the good friends who has helped him in his journey.

"Bryan is the best," said Reigns. "If anybody says any different, they're an idiot. You can learn anything from him. I got to work a lot with him with the Shield — that was like the band with those six man matches [against Bryan, Kane, and Ryback], we were doing those every night. So I had plenty of chemistry and experience with Bryan, he added.

Another WWE personality he respects is Paul Heyman. Reigns admits that Heyman is someone who has been around for a long time and that alone speaks well of what he brings to the niche.

"It's his knowledge, a lot of wisdom, and he's got some cowboy to him, too," said Reigns. "You can't replace experience, and the time he's logged in this business is irreplaceable. He's seen damn near everything under the sun with what he's done in front of and behind the camera. There's so many different facets to this business — it's not just hip tosses and body slams. This is chess, and in no way is it checkers, and I think that's what sets him apart, " he appended.

On his end, Reigns is fine with waiting for his time to come. It may come this year or probably the next. Whenever that calling would be, Reigns will be pretty much looking forward to it.

Right now, it is about being satisfied with where he is. And if his words are any indication, it seems that Reigns has no problem with that at all.
