New reports are suggesting that a new housewife will shake things up in season 8 of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." Little is known about the identity of the newcomer in the Bravo reality show and for now, the only solid description is that she is a professional dancer.
Apparently, filming for the show has already begun and the new housewife was spotted filming in Georgia. She is expected to join staple cast NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore and Claudia Jordan, who are all expected to return for the new season.
Meanwhile, Porsha Williams is claiming the full-time housewife role. She was quoted as saying in a February interview with Radar Online that it would "surprise" her if the role wasn't offered to her, adding that fans want to see more of her and her story in the show.
On the other hand, "RHOA" star Kandi Burruss' three-part spin-off series titled "Kandi's Ski Trip" wrapped up on June 7 but the family issues just see no ending. In the first episode, Kandi felt as if trying to bring together Mama Joyce and her longtime personal assistant Carmon was a bad idea.
In another episode, the latter and Kandi's general manager Don Juan were accused of not doing their jobs, with Kandi's daughter Riley defending Todd's assistant Matthew as the two only labored on making things difficult for him and nothing else.
Nora and Bertha couldn't come to terms regarding Kandi and Todd's marriage, believing that her relationship with Todd changed her. But at the end of the tense trip, Kandi's kids Riley and Kaela learned the importance of a "mending and blending" family, which is what theirs is trying to do.
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 8 will likely brew new conflicts and challenges in fall.
