Playstation Plus Games for August 2015: 'Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris,' 'CastleStorm'

 Playstation Europe

Sony has finally unveiled the new batch of free games for the month of August for PS Plus members. There are six games for the taking but this time, PS4 and PS3 gamers will get four free titles courtesy of Cross-Buy support while PS Vita gamers get three.

PS Plus subscribers using the PlayStation 4 will get to travel to Egypt for another escapade with the Tomb Raider in the 2014 action-adventure game "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris." Indie Danish developer Playdead's award-winning puzzle-platform video game "Limbo" is also free to PS4 gamers.

On the other hand, PS3 players will first be taken to the medieval world of "CastleStorm," the 2013 tower defense brawler mashed up with 2D physics destruction. The PS3 exclusive third-person action-adventure video game "God of War: Ascension" serves as the second PS Plus free game for the console.

Meanwhile, also one of this month's treats for PS Vita-loyal PS Plus members is "CastleStorm." The second game for the handheld is the side-scrolling music platformer "Sound Shapes." Lastly, PS Vita gamers can indulge in last year's 2D puzzle platform video game "Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones."

The latter two titles will also be free to PS4- and PS3-playing PS Plus members. Gamers will be able to play and download these games without shelling out a single cent starting Aug 4. This is the same day that the free titles for July will no longer be accessible for free.

The batch of PS Plus free games from last month include "Rocket League" and "Styx: Master of Shadows" (PS4), "MouseCraft" and "Entwined" (PS4, PS3, PS Vita), "Rain" (PS3), and "Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved" (Vita). Those who haven't downloaded them yet can do so before the offer expires.
