Xbox One owners will soon be able to play the game "Playersunknown's Battlegrounds" by Dec. 12, developer Bluehole and Microsoft announced on Oct. 31, Tuesday.

The battle royale video game will come as a part of Microsoft's Xbox Game Preview program's early access. During the launch, players can expect to see three limited edition cosmetic packs exclusive to Xbox One players for a limited time. These are the Warrior Pack, Accessory Pack, and Tracksuit Pack. These are the only items which can be purchased during the preview, though prices were not revealed.

"We're super excited to be able to bring these to Xbox One fans who have been eagerly awaiting the game as a special thank you for your patience and passion for PUBG," the developers said in a statement and added that they would soon release more details on the matter.

Bluehole also encouraged Xbox One players to give feedback on the game once it goes live for them to be able to know what aspects the game should improve on. Aside from this, the 1.0 version of the game is also expected to be released to PC anytime in late December.

"Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible," PUBG Corp. CEO Chang Han Kim said.

"Playerunknown's Battlegrounds" on Xbox One will have different roadmaps with the yet-to-be-released PC version. Slight differences on both platforms will hopefully be resolved over time in order to align the game in both PC and Xbox One. There is still no word on the game's release on PlayStation 4.

"Playerunknown's Battlegrounds" involves 100 shooters being dropped into one location and forced into fighting others for survival.
