Last month, Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger appeared to be mending their relationship after photos of the USC student surfaced which shows him getting cozy with another female during Spring Break at Cabo San Lucas. Initially, reports claimed that the two were on a break, but a source close to the two said the pair has ended their relationship.

"It's not a break," said a source to People magazine. "It's done."

The insider says that the reason why they broke up was not because of the scandal, but because they were "in two different places in their lives — he's in college and she's focused on her music and career."

Indeed, Cyrus appears to be working hard on her next album as the "Wrecking Ball" singer has posted a few pictures of her in the studio on Instagram. But now, a new report claims that her ex is not giving up on her and is attempting to get in touch with her in hopes of reconciliation.

"Despite the fact she's completely ignoring him since the split, Patrick isn't giving up on Miley," a source told Hollywood Life. "He has been calling her and texting her but to no avail because she never responds. Ultimately, he still wants her back."

Since their breakup, Cyrus has been seen in the company of her ex fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, and NY Daily News reported that the two were seen enjoying dinner together at Soho House in Los Angeles on April 24. One onlooker told the magazine that Cyrus and Hemsworth looked like they were on a date.

Another source told People that while Hemsworth and Cyrus ended their engagement in 2013, the two remain friendly and enjoy each other's company, but they are not "seeing each other."

"They bump into each other around L.A. and socialize," said the source. "They also keep in contact via texts, but nothing more is going on."
