Despite all the odds and challenges that they experienced in the first season, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Beauchamp (Caitriona Balfe) seem to have managed to keep their love alive in "Outlander" season 2.

Based on a new image posted on the show's official Facebook page, Sam and Claire will share a tender moment in the sophomore season of the critically acclaimed historical sci-fi drama.

In the picture, Sam is seen hugging his wife Claire from behind, while she is seen happily smiling with her husband's touch.

The couple looks very happy despite experiencing a very challenging past. By the end of season 1, Claire had to deal with Jamie's depression after the torture that he received at the hands of the ruthless Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies).

Numerous spoilers for "Outlander" season 2 claim that Jamie and Claire will start going to glamorous parties when they transfer to France. Jamie will also meet some of the most important personalities in the French court in the upcoming season.

Jamie and Claire have left Scotland and moved to France to try preventing the Jacobite rebellion while attempting to outrun the British police authorities.

In other news, fans of the show are very excited to know who will give life to the role of Brianna Randall, Claire and Jamie's biological daughter.

Brianna is one of the most loved characters in Diana Gabaldon's novels, which the TV series is largely based on. This is why it is very important for the fans to find out who will portray the role of the charming and highly educated lady when "Outlander" returns for season 2. However, Starz remains silent about the casting for the young character.

"Outlander" season 2 is also reported to feature several new guest stars and recurring characters. The pilot episode is slated to come out in March or April 2016.
