'Orange is the New Black' season 5 spoilers: downward turn for Humphrey; Stella to return?

Spoilers for Netflix's critically acclaimed crime drama series "Orange is the New Black" continue to make their way around the Internet as production for the fifth season of the series goes on. This week, new reports on "Orange is the New Black" season 5 suggest that the abusive Officer Thomas Humphrey (Micheal Torpey) may meet his end in the hands of Daya (Dascha Polanco) when the series returns on Netflix.

According to a report by iTech Post, Daya may just as well put a bullet through Humphrey's head when "Orange is the New Black" airs its fifth season.

Back when season 4 of "Orange is the New Black" came to an end earlier this year, all hell broke loose as a prison riot spread out at the Litchfield Penitentiary. Not only did the prison riot in the season 4 finale take away the life of fan-favorite character Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley), but the series ended with Daya holding a gun to Humphrey's head in an attempt to exact revenge. Things haven't been exactly sweet for the Mexican inmate for the past few seasons as not only was Daya experiencing post-partum depression but she was experiencing it alone as well.

Meanwhile, in other "Orange is the New Black" season 5 news, it seems like Litchfield inmate Stella (Ruby Rose) may make her way back into the series.

Last week, the "Orange is the New Black" production posted a few new photos from the season 5 set on the show's official Instagram account, and some of these include pictures of Stella on set along with the other cast members of the series.

"Care to visit us on the dark side?" the picture's caption reads.

In another photo, Stella poses with Janae (Journee Brown) and Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore) and though fans suspect that the image may be a throwback, many still hope for Stella's return.

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 is expected to return some time in 2017.
