The fourth season of "Orange Is the New Black" will begin exactly where the third season left off, actress Laura Prepon has revealed.

During the SAG Awards party hosted by Entertainment Weekly in Los Angeles on Friday, Prepon confirmed that the plot for next season will deal with the events that happened in season 3.

"What's cool is season 4 actually picks up right where season 3 left off. So it's literally, it continues five seconds later, which is really great because at the end of last season...I was in the greenhouse, and there was all this craziness going on and it's awesome," the actress, who portrays the role of Alex Vause in the series, revealed.

Prepon also said that her character's love-hate relationship with Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) will continue in season 4. "They love each other and they hate each other, and it's frustrating and passionate, but there's definitely some vindication there, for sure. Piper thought she was crazy all season, but she wasn't," the actress explained.

In addition, the actress mentioned that the upcoming season of "Orange Is the New Black" season 4 will feature more backstories so viewers will know more about their favorite characters. She also said that there will be a slew of new inmates in the Litchfield Penitentiary, which was first teased in the final episode of season 3 when a busload of prisoners arrived.

Prepon also said that the upcoming episode will be the best season of the series by far.

"Our writers are so good and Jenji is just so awesome, and they really, we just keep proving ourselves over and over again and Netflix just let's us do our thing, man, it's incredible," the actress revealed.

Meanwhile, Dascha Polanco could not confirm if Matt McGorry will return to reprise his role as Officer John Bennett in the fourth season of "Orange Is the New Black."

During the third season, Bennett suddenly disappeared after Polanco's character Daya showed him her family situation. This leaves her alone to take care of their child.

In an interview with Bustle, the actress said that she is uncertain about seeing Bennett again next season.

"Bennett coming back? Who knows! When a man leaves you, can we ever tell if they're coming back or not? We never know."

The fourth season of "Orange Is the New Black" will premiere on June 17 on Netflix.
