The action-adventure role-playing title "Monster Hunter" has become one of the most popular game series released by Capcom. Due to such achievement, the franchise will be upped a notch as it will be turned into a silver screen feature.

Albeit the fame that it has been getting for the longest time now, there are still many who are not familiar with the said beat 'em up title — probably those who are not big fans of console gaming. That being said, some film critics believe that this upcoming project could be a hit or miss once it is rolled out to movie houses.

However, the producers who give much credence to the game series may be seeing gold within its rich mythos. In addition, it's notable to mention that the people being talked about are Jeremy Bolt and Paul W.S. Anderson, the same guys that developed the zombie-infested movie series of "Resident Evil."

The latter even praised the game franchise's backdrop and environment and how it was masterfully created. Anderson went on to compare the said elements of the game to that of "Star Wars" including its characters. He further explained that the game doesn't have a main protagonist which will be very beneficial for them in making "Monster Hunter's" film adaptation as they can incorporate some personal touches to its main hero.

Meanwhile, if rumors are anything to go by, it was reported that the movie will be zeroing in on a character that would later find out his monster-slaying roots and will be setting out on a journey to a secluded location where he will be training to follow what his ancestors did.

Reports have also said that Anderson has already finished working on the preliminary version of the script, though they still have to determine a target date on when the film will be released.
