'Super Smash Bros. Brawl' fused by modders into a 'Dragon Ball Z' game

 Toei Animation

Fans of the legendary anime series "Dragon Ball Z" who happen to play "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" are in for a very special treat. Just recently, experimenting and enthused modders from Brawl Vault showed their love for Goku's adventures and, presumably, their desire to see the powerful warrior wreaking havoc in the Nintendo game by fusing the two insanely popular and well-developed universes into one cool game they call "Super Smash Bros. Brawl Z."

The mod was in development for quite a while and a YouTuber has been keeping fans up to speed about its development over the last five months by showing off different matches between different characters in various videos. The clips prove a solid fact: "Super Smash Bros. Brawl Z" is a beautiful, action-packed amalgam of the two worlds. The gameplay of the title is very well-integrated while the backdrops, the character designs and movesets are spot on.

For the ultimate "Super Smash Bros." touch, Brawl Vault also took time to integrate Final Smashes for the "Dragon Ball Z" characters. In the latest video for the game, Teen Gohan and Cell squared off in the arena, with the former getting to show off his special finishing move.

"Super Smash Bros. Brawl" may be the thing for last-gen Nintendo handheld consoles but the game, needless to say, has a lot of potential for mods. Tech Times points out that modifications in the past are not as huge as this. Project M, for example, work on almost unnoticeable tweaks. Brawl Vault's work proves that "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" can be very well recreated and redone into something that's basically considered as a separate game. So for those who are wondering what it would feel like playing as "Dragon Ball Z" fighters in the stellar, character-diverse title, "Super Smash Bros. Brawl Z" is worth checking out.
