Japanese game director and designer Hideo Kojima has unveiled a couple of features of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" at Gamescom 2014 last August, which will also be shown in this week's Tokyo Game Show.

Kojima also took to Twitter and posted a screenshot that was directly captured from a scene of an unannounced metal Gear Collection 2014.

A video clip, which was originally aired at a Kojima Station webcast for Konami's Twitch channel, highlighted a brief preview of Quiet, a female sniper who has taken on an invisible form and leaps from a helicopter.

She quickly disappears and hits the ground only to reappear, engulfed in a black mist behind a line of soldiers. As they prepare for attack, Quiet's eyes mysteriously grow dark.

The footage for "The Phantom Pain" played on for 20 minutes at Gamescom and had also drawn attention to the latest gameplay features. Snake's cardboard box was highlighted in the video clip along with various approaches for the Fulton system to be utilized, sending the drivers and jeep to return to Mother Base.

For instance, Snake can use horse poop from his mount to make enemy vehicles slip and for their drivers to get confused.

In the demo, the enemies wore helmets and players were given the choice to opt for remote-controlled explosives, a Jeep, and the Fulton system for attacking enemy helicopters.

Interestingly, it was also revealed that the players can sneak into the Mother Bases of other players, enter it by force, and steal their equipment and fighters.

At Gamescom, Kojima made the announcement that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom along with its prologue, Ground Zeroes, will be released for PC via Steam.

The Phantom Pain will also soon be made available as well for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
