Mayweather or Pacquiao would be crushed by Ivan Drago - Dolph Lundgren

After that much publicized Floyd Mayweather Jr. Instagram post which saw the unbeaten American boxer take a page out of the Rocky Balboa training method book, one could practically sense that it would only be a matter of time before Ivan Drago would be inserted into the fray.

And so it did, courtesy of the one who actually took on the role in Rocky IV – Dolph Lundgren.

Without any surprise and via a report from TMZ, Lundgren believes that had there been an actual real-life Ivan Drago in our modern day and age, both Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao wouldn't stand a chance. And the obvious reason is because both fighters are short.

Mayweather stands 5-foot-8 while Pacquiao is only 5-foot-7. For a basis of comparison, the fictional Rocky Balboa stood only 5-foot-11 against a behemoth Ivan Drago who stood at a towering 6-foot-7.

Of course, all of this is seen as Lundgren poking fun on the idea ever since Rocky IV was inadvertently included in the fray.

But even if there were an actual Ivan Drago today, it made no sense matching up either Mayweather or Pacquiao against him. For one, he is in the heavyweight class while both Pacquiao and Mayweather are welterweights.

Lundgren was in Hollywood signing some memorabilia from the 1985 classic before sharing his thoughts on the improbable matchup.

Asked on what Drago would probably say to either Mayweather or Pacquiao should they come face-to-face, he replied with some pretty familiar words – "You will lose". Well, obviously.

Mayweather is still a 2-1 favorite to win over the Filipino boxer although Pacquiao's camp believes that their boy has a big chance of giving Mayweather a pretty competitive fight.

Both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao get it on in a couple of weeks (May 2, 2015) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
