Manny Pacquiao responds in Christ-like fashion after Mayweather pokes fun at him

Instead of responding in hate and anger after Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently poked fun at him in a video, Filipino Christian boxing champ Manny Pacquiao offered him some word of love and understanding.

Mayweather posted a video of him punching a dummy, which he addressed as "Manny," then posted it on his Instagram account. In the video, Mayweather is talking to the dummy, saying, "So Manny, you out here telling people that I didn't win fair and square. That this little arm is messed up. Is that right? Talk to me."

The US boxing champion then slaps the dummy, then tells it to "stop lying," twice.

Mayweather was referring the statements made by Pacquiao after their May 2 "Fight of the Century" held in Nevada, Las Vegas, where Pacquiao said he thought he won the fight which the judges gave to Mayweather on a unanimous decision.

The boxer meant it as a joke, but Pacquiao did not think it was funny.

"We should understand Floyd Mayweather because of his family background," Pacquiao said in a statement made through his Public Information Officer Aqui Zonio.

Mayweather has described himself as an ex-convict who was imprisoned for 90 days because of a domestic violence rap. His father Floyd Mayweather Sr. also spent five years in federal prison after being convicted for violating drug trafficking laws.

"That's not the character of a real world champion or an educated person. It reminds me of what he did to his ex-wife," Pacquiao said, commenting on Mayweather's "joke" in his new video.

However, the Filipino pride said he has forgiven his opponent and hopes that God will work on Mayweather's life the same way He did to him, who prior to being a Christian wasted his life on gambling, booze, and women.

"May God touch his heart so he will discern the real meaning of love and life," Pacquiao said.
