Loving Lord

Jesus replied, "‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
- Mt 22: 37-38

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- 1 John 2: 15

God created man with love. The purpose of love has already been embedded in the life of every single one of us since the beginning of this world. However, man has become blind to love after falling into the temptation of the fruit of knowledge.

All the lust from this world can never satisfy our weary souls for they will pass away. Only when our eyes are opened to our Heavenly Father through His precious Son Jesus, we can find our rest in His arms of love once again. While we experience and respond to His love, our life starts to change.

Therefore, Jesus said we should love the Lord your God first, for love is the origin of life. Only when we love, we will live. Even Apostle John testified, "We love because he first loved us." More important than anything else, loving Lord is the very first priority in our life.

As we begin the New Year, let’s fix our eyes on the Lord and only the Lord. TO KNOW GOD, TO KNOW CHRIST and TO MAKE HIM KNOWN. Through this, may we become the pure children in God’s Kingdom and bear many beautiful fruits to the Lord this year.
