The drama returns in "Love and Hip Hop: New York" when the series returns for its sixth season.

In the premiere episode, newcomer Remy Ma returns to the spotlight after spending six years behind bars. She opened the show with an explosive performance of her song "Whuteva" before meeting her old friend and cast mate Rashidah Ali backstage.

Remy Ma and her husband Papoose joined the sixth season of "Love & Hip Hop: New York" to showcase her new journey as a free woman after spending her life in prison.

The episode showed how Papoose attempted to stop Remy Ma from getting into trouble since she was only given a parole. She was convicted of assault, possession of illegal weapon, and attempted coercion related to the non-fatal shooting charge filed by her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in March 2007.

In the episode, Papoose kept track of Remy Ma's whereabouts to ensure that she came home at a specific time each night. Speaking to the camera, Papoose explained that he needs to be strict because he does not want to lose his wife again.

Aside from Remy Ma, other new additions in the main cast of "Love & Hip Hop: New York" season 6 include Rashidah Ali's clients SexxyLexxy and MissMoeMoney from the Rap Duo "BBOD," dancer Cardi B, and Cisco Rosado's new fling Mariah Lynn.

They will join some of the longtime cast members of the popular reality show, including Yandy Smith-Harris, Tara Wallace, and Amina Buddafly.

For "Love & Hip Hop: New York" season 6, Yandy and her husband Mendeecees Harris will face their legal issues due to drug trafficking charges.

But aside from their legal problems, Yandy will also deal with the challenges of managing Young B, who also happens to be feuding with MissMoeMoney.

The upcoming episodes of the hit reality show is expected to showcase more catfights and dissing from all its cast members.

"Love & Hip Hop: New York" airs every Monday on VH1.
