'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' season 5 cast: Two stars fired before filming begins

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta VH1

The filming for the fifth season of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" has yet to begin, but the show is already cloaked in drama as early as now.

A report from TMZ revealed that Margeaux Simms and her girlfriend Merike Palmiste, both introduced in "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 4, already signed contracts with VH1 to appear on the reality show's fifth season.

Margeaux was the wife of music producer Nikko London. But in August, the Canadian-Jamaican singer-songwriter admitted that she is now dating Merike and plans to leave Nikko to stay with the androgynous model for good.

The deal with VH1 was to feature the sudden twist in the Nikko-Margeaux-Merike relationship in "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5, but both Margaux and Meriker were suddenly cut from the show for no reason given.

According to the two, VH1 fired them and refused to provide their walking papers. It could affect their future jobs, since walking papers are needed when they look for work. The cable network also did not provide the reason for cutting them from the show.

The lawyers of Margeaux and Merike have already sent a demand letter to the producers to provide their signed release, but VH1 has yet to respond to the letter.

Meanwhile, a spin-off series for "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" featuring hip hop music producer Stevie J and his wife Joseline Hernandez titled "Stevie and Joseline" is also in the works.

Fashion & Style revealed that the spin-off series will focus on the couple's relationship, as well as the drama that normally follows the controversial Puerto Rican wherever she goes.

At the moment, both "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" and "Stevie and Joseline" are still under production, and their official release dates sometime in 2016 are expected to be revealed soon.
