Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer unveiled the new team logo during his guesting in Conan Wednesday night and they continued campaigning the new look of the Clippers Thursday in Los Angeles and South Carolina.

Ballmer, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers and former players gave away shirts and memorabilia with the team's new logo Thursday.

The Clippers also tweeted photos of team shirts having the new logo on the seats in the Los Angeles International Airport and Stauffer Middle School.

In a statement Ballmer said, "This is an exciting time to be a Clippers fan. We have one of the top teams in the NBA, and now we have introduced a new look that is bold, edgy, powerful and truly representative of us turning the page and entering a brand new age."

Ballmer discussed on Conan the unpleasant history of the Clippers and how the fans want a new version of the franchise.

"Let's face facts, you look at the history of the Clippers, it's not a happy history. So I bought the team about a year ago in an unusual circumstance at the time, and we said something's happening here," Ballmer said.

"This may have been a nutty thing but people know who the Clippers are but people want a new Clippers. They want a happy ending to this story after this downtrodden thing with this kind of funny ruler," he said speaking about Donald Sterling.

Sterling was the former owner of the Clippers who was given a lifetime ban by the NBA after recorded racist remarks by him surfaced.

"Let's switch it around. I bought the team so late we couldn't do much but now we're introducing the new Clippers -- the new Clippers logo," Ballmer stated.

The Clippers will also debut new home and away uniforms next season in relation to them having a new look.

Home uniforms will have the new Clippers logo across it while they will also have red uniforms which will have the LAC monogram.

A black version of the team's uniform will be unveiled soon according to ESPN.

Ballmer said he has no plans of changing the team's name and added that he is planning to have an alumni network to involve former players, coaches and staff and build a history for the franchise.
