'Law and Order: SVU' season 17 spoilers, plot: Actress Kelli Giddish married and pregnant

Another cast member of "Law and Order: SVU" is getting a bigger family.

E! News reports that star Kelli Giddish has married her boyfriend Lawrence Faulborn in a private beach ceremony held at New Smyrna Beach, Florida this summer. Wedding services company Paradise Beach Weddings posted photos of Faulborn and Giddish's nuptials on their official site. The ceremony was attended by no more than 12 guests comprised of close family and friends.

Moreover, an NBC representative confirmed to E! that the actress is carrying her first child with her new husband. This announcement came just a few hours after Giddish's co-star Ice-T announced via Twitter that his wife Coco is pregnant.

Showrunner Warren Leight joked about the two pregnancies via Twitter, posting, "@FINALLEVEL and @cocosworld having a baby. @TheKelliGiddish and L Faulborn having a baby. #SVU -- most fertile show on Earth. Congrats all!!"

Filming for season 17 has reportedly begun but according to Enstarz, it is possible that Giddish might not be present in some of the episodes due to her pregnancy. It is also likely that the studio would be working around her condition in order to finish her scenes. The site also speculates whether or not the show will incorporate the actress' pregnancy into her character. This would add a new level of depth while providing a consistent problem for her as she will need to deal with her child while facing new and more dangerous cases on a regular basis.

Giddish's character, Amanda Rollins, is expected to go through some obsessions as she buries herself in a case, as previously reported here on Christian Today.

"Law and Order: SVU" season 17 is set to premiere this Sept. 23.
