Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are still getting used to parenthood following the arrival of baby North but that doesn't mean other things aren't important, like bathroom fittings.

The celebrity couple have reportedly added a set of lavish lavatories to their $11m Bel Air mansion .

The four gold-plated toilets set the couple back $750,000, more than many people would spend on a house.  They're expensive but not as expensive as the $5 million Hang Fung Gold Toilet in Hong Kong.

Other expensive additions to their new abode reportedly include a fridge freezer encrusted with Swarovski crystals and a $1 million set of six beds from a company that supplies the Savoy Hotel in London.

A source told People magazine that the couple "really wanted and needed the privacy" that their new mansion offers.

There are also reports that the couple are taking no chances with the safety of North, nicknamed Nori, with security systems being upgraded before they move in.

Reality TV star Kardashian and rapper Kanye have avoided the spotlight since the birth of North.

Kardashian has been a permanent fixture in the headlines thanks to the hugely popular Keeping Up with the Kardashians TV show, which features her family and has been airing since October 2007.

The website Naughty But Nice Rob reported earlier this week that Kim and mother Kris Jenner are ready to call it quits with the TV show.

He reports there could well be no more Keeping Up with the Kardashians after their new $40 million deal signed with E! finishes in 2015.
