"Jessica Jones" season 2 will be affected by the events in the upcoming Netflix miniseries, "The Defenders," and this might involve Misty Knight (Simone Missick).

Set photos from early this month show a clash between Jessica (Krysten Ritter) and Misty, who both have a romantic link to Luke Cage (Mike Colter).

What led them to come to blows remains a mystery, but whatever it is that comes out of it, this will likely dictate how they will interact in "Jessica Jones" season 2, should Misty Knight pay Jessica a visit.

In the latest comics featuring Jessica Jones, Misty Knight appears. In fact, she seems to hate every inch of Jessica. If this is any indication, it could also be the same for its small screen counterpart.

Whether or not this will be seen in "Jessica Jones" season 2 remains to be seen, but with Luke Cage already in the picture, it will be interesting to see these three will interact.

Meanwhile, "Jessica Jones" season 2 is also not expected to see Trish Walker (Rachel Taylor) take on her infamous comic book persona, Hellcat.

"I'm interested in continuing to explore the relationship between Trish and Jessica. That is the core relationship in the piece," executive producer Melissa Rosenberg revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

"It is about female friendship, it is about how friends evolve — they're sisters, really — and it's about how they evolve and ping off each other," she went on to say.

This means that "The Defenders" has something else in store for Taylor's character. Just recently, the actress and Ritter were spotted on the set of the miniseries.

Meanwhile, Rosenberg teased that Jessica will deal with more than one antagonist in "Jessica Jones" season 2. She warned that the baddies this season will not be the same as Kilgrave (David Tennant), but Rosenberg teased that she and her team have something up their sleeves.
