Jane Fonda news: Reveals removal of cancerous growth in talk show

American actress and Hollywood personality Jane Fonda is currently recuperating from an operation she had undergone to remove a cancerous growth from her lower lip. Bandages on the area that was operated on were very apparent when she went on the "Build Series" talk show to promote the Netflix series "Grace and Frankie."

In the interview with the "Build," before discussion began, Fonda brought up the bandages on her lower lip right away, and stated that she initially thought that the wound would heal before the interview. The host then acknowledged that most Hollywood personalities would opt to reschedule, or cancel their appearance altogether, but Fonda humorously responded with, "the world is falling apart, what's a lip?" -- to which the audience members positively responded.

Fonda's intention was clear, in that she just wanted the public, most especially her loyal fans, to know that she is okay and very far away from any immediate harm. In fact, her comment about the world's current standing goes to show that she is not making a big deal about the recent surgery that she had undergone.

Despite the presence of bandages on Fonda's lip, that did not stop her from keeping her spirits up and doing her job in promoting her Netflix show. In fact, she even looked very healthy and jovial at the age of 80. Fonda is very conscious of her health, and stated that it is important to stay "balanced and centered."

Later on, Fonda and "Grace and Frankie" co-star Lily Tomlin also made an appearance on the "Howard Stern Show" and discussed the operation in detail. During the show, Stern also thanked Fonda for her activism during the time of the Vietnam War, wherein she protested against sending American troops to their imminent deaths.
