Only a few months left until 343 Industries and Creative Assembly releases "Halo Wars 2," the latest installment in the acclaimed "Halo Wars" series. According to recent reports, the developers seem to have hinted that the upcoming real-time strategy game will be having a pinch of eSports' essence sprinkled onto it.

eSports has exponentially grown since it began in the early 2000s and has reached global proportions in the recent years. Having said that, 343 might have thought that since they are releasing an RTS game, not to mention that it is part of the "Halo" franchise, it would be fitting to endow the new title with that type of gaming experience.

Furthermore, Creative Assembly executive producer David Nicholson and 343 studio head for strategy games development Dan Ayoub talked about the pro-gaming aspect of the much-awaited sequel. Ayoub explained that they intended to incorporate eSports during the game's production. They also added the necessary programs needed for it to be played the way planned it.

Another add-on to look forward to is the so-called Blitz mode where eSports elements are heavily focused on. It was noted that the new feature will be like a concoction of "action-heavy RTS gameplay" and online card battles like "Clash Royale" and "Hearthstone."

It can be recalled that the developer already dished out the game's beta version back in June to see how fans and players would respond to the new title. Moreover, they wanted to hear feedback from the players about the bugs and glitches that they've encountered while playing.

"Halo Wars 2" is slated to be rolled out on Feb. 21, 2017. It will be deemed playable on both Xbox One and PC platforms. Fans can look forward to more updates about the new game as the release date draws near.
