'Guitar Hero Live' song list: 10 songs from soundtrack revealed

 Guitar Hero

Game publisher Activision is preparing a long playlist for "Guitar Hero Live," and just recently, it gave a taste of the musical experience players will be in for.  The studio revealed 10 of the songs that will be included in the library of the all-new full-motion reboot of the legendary music franchise, namely:

  • Ed Sheeran – "Sing"
  • American Authors – "Best Day of My Life"
  • Jake Bugg – "What Doesn't Kill You"
  • Gary Clark Jr – "Don't Owe You a Thang"
  • Band of Skulls – "Asleep at the Wheel"
  • Of Monsters and Men – "Little Talks"
  • Alter Bridge – "Cry of Achilles"
  • Biffy Clyro – "Sounds Like Balloons"
  • Blitz Kids – "Sometimes"
  • The War on Drugs – "Under the Pressure"

Activision also promises that from day one, music-loving players will be able to rock to hundreds of songs in the game's soundtrack and in the "Guitar Hero TV" online mode. Ultimately, the revival of the game lets players fight stage fright.

The title comes with an all-new first-person view, allowing players to take the center stage in front of a real crowd whose reaction will tell if the player is putting on a good show or putting them to sleep. The concert view set on their perspective also helps them feel the rush of performing.

With this comes copious venues set in small clubs to a very big stage in a festival, and players will have to work their way up to the big gigs by bringing the house down every time they perform. To aid gamers, a brand new controller will make guitar-playing easy.

Activision says the classic guitar will be "easier to play and harder to master." The buttons are repositioned to cater to easier strumming and more realistic guitar playing. "Guitar Hero TV" will also put up scheduled programming wherein different genre of music is showcased.

"Guitar Hero Live" will be released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and Wii U.
