Game developer Santa Monica Studio, known for making the epic "God of War" series, has been noticeably posting ads on social media and even on their website that they are in need of people with the necessary skills to give them a hand in making the upcoming "God of War" sequel. This made fans surmise that there might be something going on inside the company that could compromise the release of the said title.

Moreover, it was also stated that the latest inductees to the ongoing "God of War" project could still be in their "getting to know you" phase and such stage might stay that way for quite some time.

Hence, a fan took the chance in asking the studio's creative director Cory Barlog about the news surrounding the much-awaited title. The fan queried Barlog on Twitter if the latest hires for the project are causing the purported delay of the game. Barlog then downplayed the said theory by responding that it "makes things go faster eventually."

It was at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) when the game was officially announced. The game was unveiled before a huge crowd and even featured a playable demo giving the attendees of the said event a sneak peek of what to expect from the forthcoming title.

Moreover, the entire fandom of the franchise is now well acquainted with the fact that the game will be veering away from Greek mythology and will be delving into unchartered territory as Kratos has wandered off to the far away land of the Norse gods and monsters where Odin will be calling the shots.

Apart from the new battleground, the now somber protagonist will be accompanied by a boy who he calls son as he trains the youngster on how to survive the beast-laden world that they're in. In addition, there are speculations spinning that the young apprentice in training is no other than Thor himself.

No official release date has been announced for the upcoming "God of War" sequel.
