Just like the previous seasons of the award-winning television series from HBO, "Game of Thrones," the upcoming season 7 is anticipated to be filled with so many unexpected twists, and this time, it looks like strong alliances will meet their end while new ones will usher in a new beginning.
Based on the latest leaked photos from the production set, the seventh season will be showcasing a big-time betrayal, which in turn could lead to a major shift in power in "Game of Thrones." First posted on the website Winter is Coming, the photos suggest that House Lannister will be tapping the services of a very unlikely ally come next season, and proof of this is Cersei Lannister's (Lena Headey) soldiers appearing to be in the same line in preparation for battle with the army of House Tarly.
According to IB Times, the armies in the photos are preparing to defend the land against an impending attack, but it isn't the first time for them to be allies in battle as they already attacked Highgarden prior to the particular scene where the leaked photos were taken.
For those who seemed to have forgotten the past, House Tarly previously pledged allegiance and loyalty to House Tyrell, but because "Game of Thrones" always makes the most unconventional and controversial twists in television, it really won't be a total surprise if House Tarly eventually sides with the Lannisters, who in turn appear to be on track to devouring everyone in its path.
With both houses preparing for another battle after successfully taking Highgarden, does this mean there's another army out there looking to take on the beefed up men of Cersei? Well, as previous speculations have pointed out, this season will be the coming out party for Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and her dragons. So is Cersei preparing for battle against the Mother of Dragons?
Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" is set to premiere in mid-2017 with an order of seven episodes.
