Franklin Graham admits he still doesn't understand how the caucus works

There are some things that don't make sense for Reverend Franklin Graham, but there are also some things that the evangelist knows for certain.

One of the things he admittedly cannot understand was the just concluded Iowa caucuses, where Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz scored a morale-boosting victory over front-runner Donald Trump.

"When I was in Iowa a few weeks ago leading a prayer rally, I asked one of the state troopers helping with our event to explain how the caucus works. Well, even after his explanation, I still wasn't totally clear on it — I think a lot of people are in that same boat!" he shared on his Facebook page.

However, Graham said "even if we don't totally understand the details of the process, one thing is clear. The upcoming elections are important to the future of our country, and every vote counts."

At the same time, Christians need to let their voices be heard so they should register and cast their ballots. "Join me in praying for our nation. My prayer is that God will give us leaders at every level who put their faith and trust in Him," Graham wrote.

The son of Billy Graham also said it's clear America is in trouble, and it does not matter if a Republican or Democrat wins. "There is no debate about this — there's only One who can ultimately make America great again, and it's not a political party or a politician — it is Almighty God," he said.

What matters now, according to him, is that the candidate who will win can live up to the Bible verses 1 Timothy 2:1-2.

It says: "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence."
