'The Flash' season 2 spoilers: Danielle Panabaker shares Killer Frost details

Danielle Panabaker as Killer Frost CW

The finale episode of "The Flash" season 1 gave viewers a blink-and-you-miss-it preview of Danielle Panabaker as the superpowered Killer Frost and not her usual self as scientist Caitlin Snow. In an interview with Collider, the actress gave an insight into what fans can expect of season 2 and whether or not Killer Frost will make an appearance.

With regard to Killer Frost, she stated that, at the moment, she isn't sure what the showrunners and writers have planned for her character. She confirmed that they have, at this point, shot six episodes and she has already read the script for episode 7 but did not divulge specific details.

"Long story short, I'm useless in terms of Killer Frost," she told Collider. "I want it to happen very, very badly. Unfortunately I don't know that it's happening yet."

Panabaker explained that a lot of editing and on-the-spot work is done on the show and even scenes that have been shot may be left on the editing floor and never shown on TV. This means they may have done a few scenes with Killer Frost but she'll never be sure it will stick until the episode airs. As pointed in a report from Screen Rant, it is possible she really doesn't have a clue or she may be obligated to keep things secret.

Panabaker also addressed how the season will start. While there will be a six-month time jump, she confirmed that the premiere episode won't just start with a title card stating "six months later." It will address all the issues that occurred in the season 1 finale such as the singularity and its effects on both space and time.

She also stated that while Victor Garber, who plays Dr. Martin Stein, will be a prominent figure in "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," he will still be sticking around in the first few episodes of "The Flash."

"The Flash" season 2 premieres this Oct. 6.
