Shooting for "The Flash" season 2 has commenced with actor Grant Gustin already suited up as Barry Allen for the series. On his Instagram, he said that he's back at "the office" along with co-stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who play Captain Cold and Heatwave, respectively.

As already established, Lewis Snart, the abusive father of Leonard aka Captain Cold and Lisa aka Golden Glider (Peyton List), will be on the show and will be played by "Total Recall" star Michael Ironside. The character is fresh out of prison with a plan that is bound to cause danger to his children. He will appear in episode 3 titled "Family of Rogues," which means that early in the season, the siblings will already be in Central City for some trouble-making.

Meanwhile, just recently, former WWE champion and self-proclaimed Rated R Superstar Adam Copeland, better known in the ring as Edge, was cast to play the role of a baddie named Atom-Smasher. The Scarlet Speedster won't find the character, who is a hero in the comics, easy to take down. The CW via Den of Geek describes the newest villain on the block as "one of the most powerful enemies we encounter" whose one and only intention in his journey to Central City is "to kill The Flash."

"His incredible strength and ability to grow to enormous size makes him more than a match for Flash and the entire S.T.A.R. Labs team will have to come together to find a way to defeat him," the network further described.

As for another baddie by the name of Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Gustin said during the San Diego Comic-Con, as quoted by Cinema Blend, that the character "is on the show, but we're introducing the multiverse concept, so that's why he exists still somewhere."

"The Flash" season 2 airs Oct. 6.
