'Five Nights at Freddy's World' taken off Steam after negative reviews

 Scott Cawthon

After surprising gamers with its early release last week, game director Scott Cawthon has removed "Five Nights at Freddy's World" from Steam after earning negative reviews.

On the official "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" Steam news page, Cawthon explained the need to remove the indie role-playing video game because it lacks the necessary features of a good RPG game.

"Even though the game had a "Very Positive" rating with 87%, I was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting," the game director said. "For that reason, I've decided to remove the game from Steam. I've also asked Valve to make it so that the game can be refunded regardless of the amount of the time it has been owned, meaning that anyone can get a refund at any time. It may take them a while to set that up, but it will be in place soon."

The game developer immediately acted on the gamers' complaints regarding the latest entry in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise. According to reports, the game was peppered with complaints regarding some mission features, its very complicated upgrades system, as well abilities that were not explained well.

However, Cawthon revealed that he will still work on "Five Nights at Freddy's World" to improve its features. He also said that he is currently busy making a complete 3D overworld for the role-playing game. He also said that he will replace the demo posted on GameJolt with the improved version of the game, and it will come for free as soon as it is already finished.

In his closing statement, Cawthon revealed that players who already purchased the game earlier can still ask for a refund. However, the game director could not say when the improved "Five Nights of Freddy's World" will come out.
