The "The Walking Dead" companion series, "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, has started production at Baja Studios in Mexico's Baja peninsula, and should be coming soon to viewers.

In an interview with Variety, co-creator of the series Dave Erickson revealed that the horror series is shooting its second season in Baja Studios, the same set where "Titanic" was filmed, indicating that part of the series will be shot in ocean.

"We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico." Ericsson said to Variety. "Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the 'Fear' saga. We couldn't be happier."

The first episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" ended with Madison Clark (played by Kim Dickens) and Travis Manawa (played by Cliff Curtis) leading a pack of survivors into a gated estate that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. As Los Angeles continues to be overtaken by the undead, rich and mysterious Victor Strand sets to take his boat out into the ocean to escape the apocalypse.

With reports of production and filming happening in open waters, it seems that the thrill will be taken to a whole new level as the survivors fend off zombies out of land's reach. Only part of the season however will take place in the ocean as co-creator Robert Kirman adds, ""Just because it's going to be taking place on the boat doesn't mean it's going to be taking place on the boat all the time."

"Fear the Walking Dead" is an American horror drama television series that is a companion and prequel to "The Walking Dead," and is based on a comic book series of the same name. The film premiered on Aug 23, 2015.

The show has received mixed reviews from audiences and critics, garnering a rating on IMDB of 7.5 out of 10 as a collection of ratings from 38,996 users.
