Paul Walker's Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson has said that the cast will honour their late friend with a prayer before filming the next instalment.
Walker was killed in a car accident on 30 November last year during a charity even in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles. Gibson visited the site the next day where he was pictured in tears, and reportedly took home a piece of the wreckage as a memento of his friend.
He soon asked for prayer for himself and Walker's family, tweeting: "My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real.... Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family."
Gibson has continued to be vocal about the way his faith has helped him to deal with the loss of his friend in the wake of the tragedy, and Megapastor Bishop TD Jakes reached out to him in a letter which began: "In moments like this, it feels - it feels like death has won. But the bible says that love is stronger than death."
In the letter, Jakes writes of the pain of grief, but finishes with the assertion that "Love will last forever, for God is love."
Gibson shared the words on his Facebook page, adding that they helped him to find "healing and closure".
Four months after the tragic incident the cast are about to recommence filming Fast & Furious 7, which was paused as a result of Walker's death, but Gibson has been quick to assert that their lost co-star has not been forgotten.
"God's grace is all we have. Before we start filming we are going to have a strong prayer. That will be the start, before we film anything," he told celebrity gossip site TooFab.
"That is what is needed for us to do Fast & Furious 7."
He also shared of his close relationship with Walker, noting that: "This is the only movie I ever worked on where we are all real close even after the movie is over. It wasn't just losing a co-star, he was family for real. That's why it took so long to recover.
"Hopefully no one else is hurt during filming," he added.
It is as yet unknown how the film will deal with Walker's death, though reports suggest that his character will not be killed off.
