'Fallout 4' release date rumor: 30-minute gameplay to be shown at E3?

Fallout 3 Bethesda

"Fallout 4" may be in Bethesda's sleeve after all, if a new rumor is to be believed. Just recently, a German gaming website called PC Games reported that the game studio will show 30 minutes of gameplay from the long-awaited apocalyptic role-playing game in this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The site claims that the information was shared to them by an industry insider close to Bethesda. However, there is no way of knowing whether or not this report is accurate as the developer keeps its lips tight about the rumors and all other speculations related to the game.

There has been so much speculation pertaining to the existence of the title. There were also previous (now false) rumors that it would be introduced during the E3 2013. Another persistent one states that Boston is the setting for the next installment of the franchise.

Last year, Bethesda director Todd Howard revealed that the highly-anticipated game is not part of its cache, at least not yet, and that it may take a while before any official news about "Fallout 4" emerges. This is one of the reasons fans are holding on to this E3 2015 showing rumor.

Another one is the fact that the title is basically what most gamers want to see. The amount of time that passed has presumably allowed Bethesda to make a stellar sequel to "Fallout 3," which made a splash in the gaming realm back in 2008.

While Bethesda is set to take the stage during is scheduled conference on June 14 at this year's E3 event, Cinema Blend surmises that the game studio is more likely to announce "Elder Scrolls Online" for PCs and home consoles or an expansion pack for the game.

Whatever the developer has in store for gamers, fans will have to wait in agony until the Los Angeles Convention Center is lit up for the E3 convention in June.
