'Fallout 4' cheats, commands and infinite bottle cap exploits surface online

 Bethesda

In less than 72 hours following the launch of "Fallout 4" for the PC, Xbox One and PS4, cheats for the game have started surfacing online. While cheats on consoles are common, the PC version as multitude of cheats due to the option of using the console command or tilde key, reports PC Advisor.

On the PC, a player can input several cheats by pressing the tilde key to bring down the console command. Once the console command is available, a player may simply type in the following cheats:

  • tgm - unlocks god mode
  • tcl - removes collision, allowing players to walk through walls
  • tai - turns off the game's AI
  • killall - instantly kills all NPCs within the vicinity except companions or those vital to quests in which they will slump to the ground injured and will require a stimpak
  • kill [insert ID] - kills a specific character or monster
  • resurrect [insert ID] - brings back to life a dead character
  • setgs fJumpHeightMin [insert number] - modifies a player's jump to go higher or lower
  • player.setav speedmult [insert number] - adjusts player's running speed
  • tfc - will unlock flycam, used mostly for creating better screenshots
  • tm - toggle menu
  • sexchange - allows player to alter character gender
  • player/additem 0000000f [insert number here] - add bottle caps
  • player/additem 0000000a [insert number here] - add bobby pins
  • tdetect - AI will no longer detect player

However, these cheats will work only for the PC version. A YouTube video has been posted by user Jordan Evans shows how bottle caps can be infinitely generated by abusing a glitch with the game's vendors. Using this will require the player to sell ammo, however, therefore it is advised to use this glitch using ammo that the player will not necessarily use.

"Fallout 4," like Bethesda's previous titles, is open to several glitches and bugs. While some may be amusing or even game breaking at times, others can be abused to generate items or bottle caps such as the one showcased in the video.
