Doubting your victory? 5 Bible passages to restore your confidence in reaching the promised land

The Bible tells us that in Christ we are already victorious and we are assured of an eternal inheritance. But because of problems, sins, and other things, many of us feel discouraged and lose sight of the hope that we have in Christ.

My friends, if you are down or feeling discouraged right now, don't give up! The Bible tells us that God is trustworthy, and He is willing and able to bring us into the promised land that He has promised: an abundant life with Him here and now, and eternal joy with Him in Heaven.

That said, I'd like to encourage you with these passages from the Bible. The word of God says "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:18). Let these passages fan the fire of faith in you.

Nothing can separate you from God's love

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)

God's love for us will never be taken away. We can hold on to Him no matter what happens.

In Christ, you are not condemned

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." (Romans 8:1)

If you have sinned, repent. You are not condemned if you are in Christ.

God is with you, so boldly follow Him

"Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."" (Joshua 1:7-9)

God gave His word that He'll take you to the promised land. Be courageous because He will do it.

Christ is coming back for us

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3)

Christ Jesus didn't leave us to be hopeless. He will come back to once and for all take us with Him.

In Christ, we are children of God

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." (Romans 8:14-18)

Our temporary setbacks and sufferings are nothing compared to what God, our Father, has in store for all of us. Let's keep fighting the good fight of faith.
