The freshly released stealth action-adventure video game, "Dishonored 2" has been accumulating positive reviews from fans and critics alike, even though it has been less than a week since it was launched. The sequel to Arkane Studios' 2012 game, "Dishonored" certainly is on track to surpassing the success of the first game of what is turning out to be a successful franchise in the making.

The game is a continuation of the events of the first installment, and this time, players have the liberty to pick a character out of two main protagonist options: Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano. The game's prologue actually lets players handle the Empress, Emily, which seemingly is a preview of what can be expected from the character as opposed to the old one, Corvo.

According to Gamespot, using Emily is a good choice because she comes with a new set of powers that weren't seen in the first game, most notably the one called Domino, where she can link a bunch of enemies and kill them all; much more like a domino effect.

A couple of new things in "Dishonored 2" are the introduction of non-lethal moves in battle and the assignment of states or personalities for random characters. The latter is new to the game series, wherein at the beginning of a mission, characters (excluding the player character), will be labeled or assigned as guilty, murderous, or sympathetic. Killing a specific character based on his or her status will correspond to giving the player more or less amount of "chaos." And yes, the chaos system introduced in the 2012 game has been retained in this one.

According to an IGN review, "Dishonored 2" is a remarkable experience, saying that the freedom to choose between two distinctive characters and their respective set of skills, combined with the offering of 10 themed chapters makes the game very interesting.

"Dishonored 2" is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for a retail price of $60.
