'Destiny' loot cave: Bungie finally closes infamous glitch

Bungie was proud to report that their online shooter game "Destiny" now has over 17 million registered users. This was revealed during a Game Developers Conference in San Francisco although it doesn't necessarily follow that the game has sold the same amount of copies. Regardless, such is already an achievement in its own.

But on another note which could draw praises and howls from players, Bungie also announced that they have shut down the loot cave permanently.

Bungie claimed that they were fully aware of the infamous loot cave but never thought it would be much of an issue. For one thing, the loot drop rates were practically the same in any area of the game.

Complaints on the area came pouring in, many reporting negative behaviors of other players as well as something that was being exploited by other players thus leading to many requests for Bungie to shut down the cave. And now they apparently did.

Before, players spent a lot of time in the caves and waited for enemies to regenerate and of course their loot. Though much of the loot which could be collected were considered to be of inferior quality but such was an easy way to get some effortless rewards.

According to some players, the loot cave glitch allowed players to obtain large stashes of glimmer, Engrams among others as they killed and waited for spawned enemies.

Now however, players will really have to work for their loot and find a suitable place to do so. With these changes, Bungie believes that the game will be played in the manner that it should be.

Now it remains to be seen on whether the closure of the infamous Destiny Loot Cave would spur some changes on how players approach the game. Despite its shutdown, Bungie believes that such was a minor issue and that the players will continue to do so which should (for now) place all players on equal footing as far as loots are concerned.
