Cyber Monday 2016: Walmart kicks off sale early; Black Friday deals still offered by major retailers

After being mobbed during the recently concluded Black Friday sale, the largest retail chain in the United States — Walmart just keeps on bringing the holiday spirit as they kicked off their Cyber Monday sale during Black Friday itself.

The discount blowout may well seem to run for a week as it was dubbed as "Cyber Week deals." Moreover, the famed store chain still has tons of items in stock ready to be given away at prices that are considered as steals. Aside from gadgets and handheld devices, the retailer will also shell out electronic appliances, toys, and even holiday apparel to be part of the ongoing price drop.

Some of the featured products on sale include a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop that was given a massive $300 discount from its former price of $1,299. A Samsung 50-inch 6300 series LED TV is now offered at $700 from its $1,049 price tag. Meanwhile, toddlers will be in for a treat as the Spider-Man Speed Coupe is now deemed at $70 from an original price of $149. In addition, shipping fees will be waived if customers spend a total of $50 and above.

That being said, folks can check out Walmart's website and browse through thousands of items that are currently on sale.

Amazon, on the other hand, announced that they are set to dish out over 70,000 deals as part of their Cyber Monday offering. Just like Walmart, the online store's cyber sale will run through the stretch of the coming week. The online retailer is now expecting that sales for this year will topple the record of the previous year that had a whopping 50 million products being sold.

Apart from retail stores, consumers who plan on traveling during the holidays might want to check some of the airline companies' deals on their respective flights right before they fly away.
