Country music group Lucy Angel sign on to new reality show

Lucy Angel G Force Music Group

Country music mother-daughter trio Lucy Angel will soon showcase their family values on reality TV.

The AXS TV show "Discovering Lucy Angel" will star the singing group – comprised of mom, Kate, and two daughters, Emily and Lindsay Anderton – as they balance stardom with a family-oriented lifestyle.

Eldest daughter Lindsay said the family welcomed, but did not seek out, the reality show opportunity.

"We were just cutting our new record [when we found out the show was picked up]," Lindsay told FOX411. "It's crazy how everything's just lining up and we're so excited to be a part of this. It's kind of been a whirlwind, we've never done this kind of thing before.

"We didn't go looking for a reality show but we always thought that we would make good TV because our family is so colorful and random stuff always happens to us! Now, there's just a camera there to catch it on tape."

"There's going to be a lot of laughs," Emily added. "There's no script."

The women also described the international appeal of country music in general, and Lucy Angel in particular.

"It's sort of mind boggling but you find country fans everywhere in the world," Emily said, recounting the trio's performances in countries as far away as China.

"Country music really kind of encompasses a lot of different styles," Kate added. "I'd say we have some straight down the middle country songs but we all come from a little bit different backgrounds in what we really love and our influences."

Initially, the trio was a duet with just Kate and Lindsay. But, three was not a crowd, as Emily was the perfect addition.

"When Emily joined us and we heard all three voices and being the studio and writing and doing shows, we thought, 'This is really something special,'" Lindsay said. "We enjoyed it so much and we started getting a fan base and just thought, 'If we're going to do it, we've got to go for it.'"

"We have a really close family and everybody is really passionate," Emily said.

"Discovering Lucy Angel" will air this fall. Get a first look at the new series by watching the video below.
