CM Punk or Phil Brooks may be quiet these days as he gears up for his UFC debut but it seems that this is not the only thing he is pretty much busy with.

At C2E2, it was revealed that the former WWE wrestler and now UFC fighter CM Punk, auditioned for a role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 which is set for a June 3, 2016 release.

Punk could have been a great fit to land the role of Casey Jones, seeing his features and abilities are perfectly fit for the role. However, that part has already been awarded to Stephen Amell which means Punk, if he passes, may have to settle for another role.

Word has it that Punk may end up playing one of Shredder's henchmen, either Beebop or Rocksteady. However it could be a voice-role or mo-cap. The thing is, would CM Punk be up for that role?

Punk's athleticism is expected to be a big plus for him to land the role, something that would have been likewise perfect if Amell had not beaten him for the Casey Jones role.

As far as the film is concerned, Michael Bay will be producing but not directing TMNT 2.

However that hasn't stopped Michael Bay from revealing some of the stuff to expect from the sequel, particularly how Stephen Amell would look like as Casey Jones.

Other than Amell, returning will be Megan Fox who will continue her previous role as April O' Neil. She will be joined by Alessandra Ambrosio (Vernon's Girlfriend), Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick), Tyler Perry (Baxter Stockman) and Brian Tee (Shredder) for the sequel.

The main plot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is still however unknown other than knowing the turtles (Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo) will of course be trying to save the city from another diabolical and fiendish plot.

So where could Punk fit in all of this? Stay tuned. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set to be released on June 3, 2016.
