Church Army Issues New Faith Mugs

|PIC1|Church Army is following in the footsteps of Starbucks in the US, which recently announced it will be printing a quote from Rev. Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, on its coffee cups. Talking about faith has never been easier with Church Army’s new faith slogan mugs.

The new mugs by the Church Army don the slogan “What will they believe?” and are designed to be a springboard into conversation about life, faith and Jesus with non-believers.

David Coleman, Church Army’s Communications Manager adds: “Research tells us that a lot of people are open to discussing faith – often they just need a prompt, and what’s better than a mug of good tea or coffee.”

Guidelines have also been issued by Church Army evangelists Lynda Alsford and Nick Green to help parish representatives, individuals and those who feel unsure about how to start off a conversation about faith, put forward deeper questions than “would you like sugar?”.|TOP|

The guidelines encourage people to ask if they know what the slogan “what will they believe?” could be about, what they believe about God and what they want their children or children they know to believe.

Philip Johanson, Church Army’s Chief Secretary adds: “Our style of evangelism is about sharing faith in a low-key way as we go about our work, rest and play. Most of the meaningful discussions we have in life seem to revolve around informal situations so why not a coffee mug?”
