"Captain America: Civil War," Marvel's next blockbuster film, has already started filming. Naturally, photos and snaps from the set are (almost instantaneously) circling the Web, assuring fans that the upcoming flick, which some dub as "Avengers 2.5," is shaping up pretty nicely early on.

Actor Chris Evans once again dons the Cap uniform and at the same time, says goodbye to his beard, which he thanked for "braving the Boston winter with [him]." Joining the actor is a stellar ensemble, which is said to be bigger than that of "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

The set photos show some of the cast members portraying their Marvel Comics alter ego. Scarlet Johansson has a new hairstyle to flaunt as well as some chic civilian garb as she appears to be driving away from (or toward) something, presumably after a fight.

Multiple photos of Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon, also made the rounds, as well as that of Frank Grillo, who looks cool and ominous in his Crossbones guise. Elizabeth Olsen, who debuted as Scarlet Witch in the second "Avengers" movie, was also spotted on set.

Lastly, tons of the photos at large are of the mighty soldier himself. In several images, Captain America and a crowd behind him looks up at the sky with the latter full of fear and terror. The superhero is also seen racing through the crowd, flipping over a car and sprinting above other ones in pursuit of something.

There is reason to believe that the band of heroes is in Wakanda, Blank Panther's home. The superhero is said to be part of the film and, looking at the photos, the group has set foot in T'Challa's territory.

There are also photos that depict a funeral, which is believed to be that of Peggy Carter. Meanwhile, fans have yet to see Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in action as well as Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). Also, fans are still clamoring to learn who will be the next Peter Parker.

"Captain America: Civil War" premieres on May 6, 2016.
