The remastered version of Infinity Ward's first-person shooter video game, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" is being enjoyed by longtime players and newbies alike since its release. However, there are some "Call of Duty" fans that are already looking for new content for the revamped title so much so that they have data mined the game's code. Reports claim that such players have found in-game items that have yet to be spotted on "Modern Warfare Remastered."

Redditors are at it again as one of them has discovered weapons that have yet to be seen in the game reboot. Per the Reddit post, the files contain information on hardware such as the Desert Eagle handgun, a .44 Magnum revolver, and a PP-2000 machine pistol. Long firearms were also spotted like the MP44, the Russian-made Dragunov sniper rifle, the Kamchatka-12 automatic shotgun, and an MP5 submachine gun. The only melee weapon that was included in the said roster is an army shovel which will be very handy if players run out of ammo.

That being said, other Redditors believe that a downloadable content is in the works and it will be stashed with the aforementioned firepower. Nonetheless, some argued that those were just pitches of weapons that the game developer ditched due to some technicalities that they've encountered.

Other naysayers claim that these weapons will not be included in the game's DLC provided that such would come to fruition. Furthermore, they added that the game developer has a penchant for incorporating old game files with new ones which eventually made keen-eyed fans believe that these are items within the recommissioned game that are about to be dished out.

Meanwhile, neither publisher Activision nor Raven Software, who developed the remastered game, has commented on the matter. They have also yet to announce whether game expansions are indeed coming.
