While it has been over two decades since the last film in the "Bill and Ted" franchise, a third film is still on the way. According to a report from Metro, the third film will see actors Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprise their roles as Bill Preston and Ted Logan, respectively, this time traveling to London.
"The script is already written for the third film and much of it is set in the U.K. The whole film is going to have a huge British feel," cites an unnamed source. "They'll time-travel through London and meet historical figures, meaning the Queen and Winston Churchill could get cameos."
It is also pointed out that the script has already been completed, both Winter and Reeves are on board to reprise their roles, and all that they are waiting for is a production date to get the film going. Winter expressed that he would like to get filming started by the end of the year or at least in early 2017.
According to a report from CInema Blend, travelling to London appears to be a little smaller in scale compared to the settings of the first two films, but allowing them to time-travel to meet different historical figures in London's history will certainly work around this issue.
It is speculated that the duo will be dropped in significant events in London's history, either during the Queen's coronation or during an important event in World War II. How Bill and Ted will affect these events has yet to be seen, but as revealed in the first two films, it is likely they will do something that can and will affect the future.
The report also states that while Rufus (George Carlin) won't be returning given that the actor passed away in 2008, there are still other characters from the previous films that could still make an appearance, such as William Sadler as the Reaper or Diane Franklin and Kimberley LaBelle as Princess Joanna and Elizabeth, respectively.
