After enjoying a record-breaking first season, it seems only fitting to hear that Better Call Paul will be coming back for a second season. The said spinoff from Breaking Bad has garnered quite a following, amassing an average of 5.9 million viewers for its initial 10-episode offering.

From the looks of it, fans are pretty much curious about the series of events behind James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill (Bob Odenkirk) which have somehow been shown in the meager 10-episode billing. And certainly there is more to know and much of that may be coming their way in season 2 which is slated to have a 13-episode showcase.

Apparently it was the first episode that set the trend, that set the trend on how successful the said spinoff would be. With close to millions of viewers in various age brackets in tow, the first episode set the tone in what made it the highest-rated scripted series in cable history. And from the looks of it, more records could be shattered thought it would depend on how Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have in store for season 2.

What makes the series alluring is that the character of McGill is seen as something that many can adapt to. They term his character as a lot like life, though it will come to a point where he would eventually evolve to Saul Goodman.

That transformation could come in season 2 as Gilligan and Gould, a plot that should be interesting to see as to how a decent guy like McGill could transform into the persona of Goodman who uses murder as a business strategy. But of course, that phase will come incrementally so there will be a lot of events that many should expect heading into season 2.

And seeing most of that may come by 2016 though there is no official date in mention for now. Production will commence by the latter part of 2015.
