Exciting things are ahead for Bethel Music's Amanda Cook, who is currently working on a full solo album that will be released later this year.

This will actually be her first solo project with the Bethel Music Artist Collective, the Christian music group revealed on their website. "Amanda has felt the concept for this project stirring for some time, knowing it would represent some of the messages, confessions and imaginations dearest to her heart," they said.

The singer spent one week in Nashville last September writing songs for her new album with producers Jason Ingram and Paul Mabury, and she also spent many personal writing sessions in between. Now she's back in Nashville for the album pre-production.

Bethel Music also revealed that her husband Jacob has been supporting her creative process, and when asked to describe the sound that's taking shape for the album in three words, he answered, "symphonic, ethereal, transcendent."

"These songs will help listeners be free of distraction; they extend an invitation to a time of encounter with God. Each one is full of breathing space for instrumental worship, not just through lyrical expression," he teased.

Bethel Music also noted that beginning a new project can be both daunting and inspiring for any artist, but it is an experience they will never forget. Moreover, it takes great effort to continuously say "yes" not only to be inspired, but also to be disciplined, since they will have to go through "countless moments of resistance, let go of pretense and past heights, and bravely choose to face a fresh canvas, cultivate new momentum, and be true to the colors of truth they are compelled to share presently."

"Amanda, we bless your 'yes' to this project and we're eager to experience what this process yields," they said in support.
