"Batman VR" has gone gold, which means it is ready to be shipped, and it will arrive on the dot. Rocksteady Games producer Dax Ginn recently spoke about the experience in putting the game together.

"We submitted ['Batman VR' to Sony] last week which was an awesome experience," Ginn revealed during an interview with Eurogamer, adding that one developer celebrated the feat by sporting a gold spandex suit and wielding a golden boom box.

Ginn said that "Batman VR," which allows players to take on the role of The Dark Knight (but more inclined on his alter-ego Bruce Wayne) through Virtual Reality, was "an itch they had to scratch."

"Batman VR" also happens to be the final Batman game that Rocksteady will ever put out, something that makes the studio feel like they just called it quits with the Caped Crusader after a long relationship.

"I think there's a little bit of sadness on the team. It feels like... breaking up? [The mood] is really split," Ginn admitted while talking about dealing with the end of the Batman era for the team.

"There's a feeling in the office like, it's definitely time to do something else - we all accept that. But we all know Batman so well - we all feel comfortable in the Arkhamverse," he went on to say.

Ginn said that after all the years that they've spent creating Batman games (they have been making games based on the superhero since 2009), their next project, which he admitted is not set in stone yet, will definitely feel "very different."

He also knows that it will be a serious adjustment and that the transition will involve "anxiety," but they see this as a challenge that will help them become better and more capable of making more excellent titles.

Ginn said that they are looking for their next "dream game" to make after "Batman VR," and Warner Bros. has given them all the time they need to find that.

"Batman VR" is scheduled to be released on Oct. 13.
