Japanese anime series come and go, but there are a few that remain very popular, not just in its home country, but also in other territories for a longer period than usual. One of those few is the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's manga series, "Attack on Titan." Right after the first season concluded, fans all over the world began hoping for a second season, but it has taken a very long time to finally hear something concrete about the possibility of the highly popular series being continued for season 2.

According to iTech Post, the release date of "Attack on Titan" season 2 is in February of next year, although the same publication was quick to add that its source hasn't provided a specific date for the moment. Nonetheless, fans of the show can't help but get excited about this development since the past several months have always been about rumors, theories, and speculations.

Meanwhile, another report cited a leaked spoiler for season 2 of "Attack on Titan," claiming that the new offering will be about Eren Yeager's partnership with Zeke for the purpose of rescuing Levi and Mikasa. But with Mikasa's previous failure to protect Wall Rose, spoilers have suggested that Eren will have to decide to end his friendship with the former.

Aside from Eren's rescue mission, there also are rumors that Eren may potentially transform into a beast of a Titan. This is in line with the possibility of him finding out more about himself and his past through the secrets which will be uncovered in his father's basement. But while he could potentially become a very powerful Titan, the scary part is that Mikasa might find herself transforming into a villainous Titan after getting consumed by one sometime in the second season.

With all these taken into consideration, does it mean a prospective Eren–Mikasa clash is happening in season 2 of "Attack on Titan?"
